Flat Tire Derails Grandview Effort

BECHTELSVILLE, PA - The S&N Racing No. 8 was on the move during the early portions of last Saturday night's Grandview Speedway 30-lap NASCAR Whelen All-American Series when Mike Gular was forced into the inside guardrail on lap five.
Running four laps under green with a left-front flat tire, Gular took the Banes Roofing No. 8 pitside during the next caution on lap nine. Gular restarted at the rear of the field and raced back to a respectable 12th at the finish, maintaining fourth in the 358-Modified standings.
Power steering issues also propped up during the evening.
"You always want to do better," said Gular, who had reached the top-10 before the flat. "But we got the most we could out of a bad night."
Racing continues on Tuesday at Grandview in the Thunder on the Hill program. The S&N team also plans to compete at Big Diamond (Pa.) Raceway this Friday night in the Georgie Stevenson Memorial.
