Kellner Fights Tight Condition At Freedom 76

BECHTELSVILLE, PA - Jon Kellner Sr. fought an extremely tight race car to 17th place in Saturday night's BPG Racing Freedom 76 at Grandview Speedway.

Kellner's night began with carburetor trouble in hot laps, prompting a change prior to the heats. While that issue was resolved for the 12-lap qualifier, an opening lap incident in the heat damaged the car's right-front shock tower.

Kellner missed qualifying by two positions in the heat race after slowing on the final lap when a belt came off the injector pump.

Placing second in the Minuteman 20 to qualify for the 76er, the S&N Racing No. 8 started the feature from 29th.

With little time between the Minuteman and the feature, setup changes could not be completed, meaning Kellner fought the push for the entire distance.

Racing continues at Grandview on Saturday.
